annie april 12, 2019 annie, how can we know who could love us the most a silent sliver of light in the splintered skin of the night i find you oh the hounds of sorrow are the sounds i hear in the blood and the yarrow i’m wounded here annie, i keep losing the thread and the needle oh i need you to hold my hands to stop the bleeding stop the bleeding oh the hounds of sorrow are the sounds i hear in the blood and the yarrow i’m wounded here i’m wounded i’m wounded, annie i’ll see you when i howl like an owl to the moon oh you’re the music i long to hear oh the hounds of sorrow are the sounds i hear, in the blood and the yarrow i’m wounded, annie

Heron 05:33
heron september 10, 2019 it’s the same sun in the dawning blue it’s the same blue in the eyes of a buffalo oh i can roam with the black crow but i can be a home for you too it’s the same sun gleaming on the catcher of wind in the denim lamp of a watering can in the silence only wandering can bring i’ve sailed away to lay in the blackberries weeping, where the sheep have been sleeping and i’ll keep holding on to the tide and know that i tried to lay by the side of the heron oh he knew my name he knew my name he said hold to the root of the oak under foot and be quiet, now it’s the same moon it’s the same moon in the dusk of the blue where i’ve sailed away to lay in the blackberries weeping oh the sheep have been sleeping for to keep holding on to the tide is to lay down inside of the marshes that grew with the heron that flew in the music of the morning dew

The Horses 05:54
the horses december 7, 2019 after we died, mama the horses cried, oh mama listen the fog in the dawn is holding on to the dog in the lawn as he pulls his neck from the chain oh the strain is more than the pain he can bear listen to the howl, the howl it's hard to see it's hard to hear you quiet down quiet down quiet quiet down listen to the howl, listen to the howl listen to the howl, listen to the howl listen to the horses, listen to the horses don't let go of the hole in your saddle oh follow the thread to the needle take heed of the bleeding and beat on the cchest of the chestnuts and roses roses, roses, roses, roses, and rise in the dawn and hear the cries of the horses gone oh mama, listen mama, listen oh mama, listen listen listen listen to the cries, listen to the cries, listen to the horses, the horses the horses

Howl 04:26

about

a response to the empty space.
a reckoning with sorrow, a longing.
a heart wounded in the field of yarrow, a ripe aching plum.
weeping with the blue heron, a quiet bed of blackberries.
the dusk moon, a sailing away.
a cantering, a cry.
a hounding shadow.
the fog in the dawn, the breath of a horse.
the mourning in the morning.
the silence and the howling within, beckoning me to echo the cavern.

i hope this finds you in your hollow.
